THE SYMPHONY SHOW

Cherish the Ladies are the most successful Celtic Pops ensemble in history. To date, they have been the guest soloists for over 300 nights with the leading symphonies across the United States performing their signature Celtic Pops Celebration program and their Celtic Christmas show.

Their symphonic career all began with a phone call from the Boston Pops and the Ladies made their debut with the Cincinnati Pops under the tutelage of legendary conductor, Keith Lockhart. After the overwhelming enthusiastic response, Keith brought Cherish the Ladies back to Boston’s Symphony Hall where they performed another four shows including the prestigious Tanglewood Summer Series. Their successful collaboration continued with a recording that led to their Grammy nominated album, “The Celtic Album”. Since that time, the ladies have taken the symphony world by storm and have performed with National and regional orchestras with many return engagements.

REVIEWS

CHERISH THE LADIES WITH THE OMAHA SYMPHONY:
Review by Omaha World Herald

Cherish the Ladies rock the house with Irish lilt and laughter….it would be easy to mistake this group for a rock band, since it puts on a thoroughly entertaining show, complete with vibrant music, appealing singing, elaborate step dancing and a surprising amount of comedy. Madden is the group’s star and leader for a couple of reasons. For one, she’s a larger-than-life personality with a stand-up comic’s sense of timing and humor. But what mostly distinguishes Madden and her band is the sheer virtuosity of their music making.

CHERISH THE LADIES WITH THE WEST VIRGINIA SYMPHONY:
Review by Charleston Gazette

The St. Patrick’s Day spectacular drew a capacity crowd to hear Cherish the Ladies, the immaculately playing, high energy band, and Joanie Madden and the troupe did not disappoint. The Celtic band was the centerpiece of the performance; wonderful music…spectacular dancing…the ladies and the symphony were at their lyrical best!

CHERISH THE LADIES WITH THE MOBILE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA:

“When Cherish the Ladies first appeared with our orchestra, the experience was not only exquisite but also unexpected. We knew these women could make great music — but we didn’t realize they could be so hilarious. Joanie Madden should patent her wacky sense of humor. She’s a national treasure. I’m sure Ireland and America are fighting over her. I can’t wait to see what she and the group bring to their Christmas concert with us!”

Scott Speck, The Music Director, Mobile Symphony Orchestra

CHERISH THE LADIES WITH THE BUFFALO PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA:
Review by Garaud MacTaggart, The Buffalo News

Cherish the Ladies with the BPO deliver Close-To-Perfect Irish Program. It was a fun-filled Saturday evening with a full house packed with enthusiastic fans…. It was a fine, fine way to spend a Saturday evening. All of the musicians seemed to be on top of their game; the orchestral entrances were close to perfect and the Madden-led ensemble played cleanly, convincingly and with verve.

CHERISH THE LADIES WITH THE SPOKANE SYMPHONY:
